Ct.Wedding Florist: Water's Edge and Jen's beautiful day

The look: And where did this unique color combination come from?   Jen's mom was a water colorist. Painting was her passion.....and oil painting mine.......So we had a great time playing with color and finding the perfect combinations......The kick to this bouquet was most definitely the aqua/purple dendrobium orchids.....LOVED IT!!!
Joseph from Josephs Photography  sent along this shot of the wrought iron gazebo decorated in this unique color palette. Looking forward to all the great shots Joseph catches with his amazing eye.

The mantle in the "Grand Ballroom" enhanced the theme using simple flowers and adding white starfish throughout.

Can anyone else have this amazing vista when they are getting married. Water's Edge is breathtaking. I thank Jen, and her most creative mom in helping me formulate a perfect wedding for them and Joseph of  Josephs photography  (who is the best) and most of all for Maggie (who is the best too and coordinator) at Water's Edge for organizing a great wedding!!

Madison Beach Hotel, wedding

How about those all white weddings.....They are back......and talk about that rich feeling of what a wedding is......The tradition of roses in all their beauty along with large crystals. There is not much more to be said.......
I was thrilled to see Lindsey as she turned......Just a classic shot.......imagine her along with her gorgeous bouquet.
St. Johns in Middletown was a church everyone should walk through. We were in amazement. It was old, grand, architecture.....and more beautiful than I have seen in a long time. It is hard to believe that anyone had the vision to create such beauty. The all white arrangements stood out. These were very large altar arrangements. The priest "loved them" asked to use them for the next day services.
Cylinders with white cymbidium orchids underwater brought a modern theme to the reception. Crystal bands at the top along with crystal wire inside the vases brought Lindsey's theme alive.

Madison Beach Hotel dressed up for a wedding. Yay!!

The head table arrangement also fit perfectly in the grand scheme of things. We wrapped satin balls and covered them with crystals .......Great way to showcase crystals in bouquets......
Madison Beach Hotel was a great host......always a "JOY" to work with Elizabeth and the staff.
A big crystal "HUG" to Lindsey and Kevin....."LOVE"

Wedding at Water's Edge Inn, Westbrook, Ct. wedding

These posi callas are glamorous.......So regal.....so bold. Amy looked stunning with her bouquet.

Bridesmaids carried posi callas and lavender freesia....again so simple and yet so elegant.
We had a wild day at Water's Edge......The weather is always interesting and Amy's wedding day brought 95 degree weather........nothing new in the summer time. And as we set up the bambo huppah on the lower lawn we looked up and the dark clouds exploded  "Hail" the size of quarters.....After
the storm we had to move the huppah (because of 1" of water on the lawn) on to the lower patio. Years ago we did all weddings on the lower patio.......iit looked great..........
Centerpieces were very modern with calla lillies and bursts of lavender orchids .
The mother of the bride wrote:
Thank you for making everything look beautiful. The flowers were georgous. We've had tons of compliments on how beautiful the room looked.
Thanks again, it was a pleasure working with you.

Ct.Wedding Florist: lillies at their best

For all you lilly lovers~~~ Enjoy!!!

Saybrook Point Inn, wedding

We have had so many weekends with morning rains or afternoon thunder showers...and we were so lucky to have Emily's and Christoper's Huppah  up and ready for their sacred ceremony at
 Saybrook Point Inn and Spa.
After the rain, the skys opened and shined down on Emily's and Christopher's Huppah... and when the ceremony was done and everyone went inside it just started to rain. "Perfect"
Emily was a natural garden girl........loving lots of garden textures. Looked lovely......

We did 1/2 of our centerpieces in tall glass uprights and 1/2 low on the table as you can see in this beautiful centerpiece...Looks great at Saybrook Pt. Inn
Along with a rental (our collection of mercury glass) Emily was thrilled with this placecard table arrangement greeting her guests.

And lastly we did a cake top ........so pretty!!  Congratulations to Emily and Christopher!!! They are a beautiful couple.....with deep gratitude that we were a part of their most important day of their lives..
