Ct.Wedding Florists: Guilford Yacht Club and Barbara's Beautiful Wedding Flowers

My first and only shot of Barbara was taken before she walked down the aisle in St. George's church in Guilford. She was very gracious.......and nervous.....She had all her bridesmaid's gathered around to lighten and support her journey down the aisle.
What better colors to coordinate beautifully with blue dresses, than blue hydrangea and green cymbidium orchids.

The Guilford Yacht Club http://www.gyc.com/ looked great. We chose blue, yellow and white to dress up the space. We had make the square boxes and used a crackle finish to create beachy feel, along with shells, square votives and soft natural garden flowers.

Thanks to Jordan Caterers http://www.jordancaterers.com/ and most of all to Barbara and her wonderul family. It was wonderful day.

Ct.Wedding Flowers: French Blue meets Hawaiian at Water's Edge

Gretchen's inspiration came from an envelope she showcased in french blue (considering this for her bridal party dress color) and loved the color red. She was very apprehensive as she considered her color scheme. I loved it!!!

Her wonderful groom, and his family's Hawaiian heritage helped to create their perfect signature throughout the day. They shipped in from Hawaii traditional wedding flowers, maile lei's for the men, and traditional white dendrobium lei's, so intricately made, even I was in awe.

What a perfect evening on the lawn of Water's Edge. http://www.watersedge-resort.com/
Hawaiian maile lei's were hung to help create a feeling of Hawiian heritage.

Inside the Royal ballroom we brought the tropical feel in using monastera leaves in all their glory. We spiraled red tulips underwater in tall modern glass cylinders. The Royal ballroom looked fabulous.

As you can see the combinations of french blue and red were just perfect. Family heritage and traditions deepen and add layers in creating the perfect wedding. My job is to unify visually within these boundaries.
I was thrilled, as was the Bride and Groom.
Thank you, Gretchen for your wonderful vision.

Ct.Wedding Florists: Fall bouquets with different backdrops

Isn't it interesting how different these two collages look based on the backdrop colors. The warm tones enhance the beauty of the fall bouquets. Are you drawn to the warmer tones?
Or do you find the darker backdrop more exciting? We have endless combinations of flower colors and the next years designer fabrics in the most amazing colors, to create magic.
The program I am using is new and such great fun. From movies, to videos, to photos with backdrops......What a creative winter!!!

Ct.Wedding Florists: Kelly's Riverhouse Wedding Flowers, Ct.

I walked upstairs at the Riverhouse, www.riverhouse.com to deliver the bridal party bouquets, and give hugs to the Bride, and sitting there, in front of me, were these Jr. Bridesmaids waiting together just after they had their hair done. How cute is this!!! I love this picture. "My future brides."
The Bridal bouquet contained burgundy, lavender, and white posi callas with white roses and orange makara orchids. Lavender was important since the bridal party gowns were black with lavender. The makara was a perfect choice for the autumnal feel.
As I have said before, I love to capture the Bride as she sees the bouquet for the first time.
She was so gracious to let me take a photo....thanks so much Kelly.
The flower girl loved her flowers so much she asked me to take a photo of her. She even chose the spot.
Isn't she cute!!

Kelly know exactly what she wanted and had seen this upright container at her tasting.
She fell in love with the hanging french votives (which we cannot see in this photo). There were 5 per table hanging of the french wire upright she rented from us. Using fall-like branching along with rings of flowers at the base, we created the scale the ballroom can handle beautifully.

Kelly understood the value of our rentals and utilized them beautifully.
Kelly, Bravo to you, I wish you all the best.
