Ct.Wedding Florist: to a great product

I didn't really know where to start when I was looking at florists but when I spoke with Debra from Bakes and Baldwin she assured me she had worked with the Water's Edge Resort and Spa for many other weddings and this had me feeling more confident. When I spoke with the Water's Edge they also confirmed that Bakes and Baldwin had done a beautiful job on previous weddings and I knew I was headed in the right direction.
The flowers were not extremely important to me at first but after speaking with Debra I knew that they would help set the style of our wedding but since I didn't want to bring in an accent color I kept it simple with white flowers for everything.
I also liked that Debra did not try to push me outside of my budget. She made it very clear what my budget would and wouldn't allow and helped me make choices that I could comprise on the type of flower or on the number of arrangements without straying for my original budget. I think she really listened to me and that was not my experience with a lot of other florists who I spoke with. At the end of the day I thought Debra was honest and reliable and provided a great product.

Beautiful Flowers!

When picking a florist I had no clue. I got Debra's name through my reception site and I am so pleased i went with Debra. My flowers were way more than i ever imagined. From the ceremony space to the reception, to my bouquet i loved my flowers. I got so many compliments on my flowers i wish they could have stayed alive forever. I would also like to say Debra went above and beyond. I had some extra beading and satin from my dress and I had given them to Debra to see if she could some how incorporate them into my bouquet and she had stitched every bead on s string to apply them to my bouquet which was wrapped in the satin. That is really taking extra time just for me. Bakes and Baldwin Floral Co is amazing!

OMG Absolutely stunning flowers Alisha and I were so HAPPY. We received so many compliments unbelievable . The Grand Ballroom came alive. The mantle was gorgeous too and Alisha and her bridesmaids loved their bouquets . Just outstanding work you are in a class of your own above the rest. Thank you again for making this wedding as close to perfect as perfect can get. The church looked great as well. We were blessed with beautiful weather and had a Super moon in the evening to top it off.

Wedding at Saybrook Pt. Inn

Isn't Inna beautiful.....I took this shot from afar and even the lighting was perfect.

Saybrook Pt. Inn was dresses in spring flowers. It is not often I get an opportunity

to do spring flowers. Being in March we have so many wonderful options....Inna chose purple, yellow, lavender and cream as her color scheme. Iris were her favorite flowers........

So pretty.....sometimes I am in the right area at the right time....

We supplied "Spring" everywhere. . The huppah was placed perfectly showcasing the water and sunlight.....

We had 6 vases of forsythia throughout.......

The huppah was designed perfectly for this ceremony....The soft tulle huppah fit perfectly. Flowers were placed on the tiebacks too..just didn't have time to take a shot when they were placed....

It is so important to choose vendors that have serviced facilities and know all their spacial needs.

Water's Edge weddings, Westbrook, Ct.

Danielle was an exquisite bride, from her amazing gown, to her veil that softly fell and trained . Her bouquet was perfect too. Stephanotis and crystals added the perfect texture to her overall look.

Due to the weather, we moved her ceremony into the Grand Ballroom at Water's Edge. Every part of this amazing arch framed her softly

Moody uplighting showcased the upright centerpieces perfectly.

The Grand Ballroom was dressed for the occasion.....4 window alcoves shimmered crystals, yes, we hung all the crystals with the utmost care. A very intensified undertaking. My camera would not capture the colorful glow of crystals throughout the room. It was a "WOW"

Even the cake sat centerstage....looking so grand with flowers and cyrstals........It was such a pleasure to work with Danielle.......Her vision manifested for a timeless, soft and romantic wedding.......The staff at "Water's Edge" and Maggie Bascom, the sales manager, worked hard to create magic..........I am so thrilled to be a part of their wonderful day......
