Riverhouse at Goodspeed Station:Bakes and Baldwin showcasing Kara's wedding flowers

Kara's wedding bouquet was clean and classic. I wasn't able to get a shot of her......

All the bridesmaids carried all blue with white lilies....as you can see the brides
bouquet coordinated so nicely using the posi callas.

These arrangements enhanced the bar area, set up under the pergola.....

Centerpieces included two different looks.....peacock feathers were added for simple accents throughout.....The orchids underwater along with floating candles looks so romantic as the evening moves on......And upright centerpieces always looks great.....You can see the peacock feathers up and out of the uprights in the back-round......Wish Kara and her hubby all kinds of inspiration into their married life and always special thanks to The Riverhouse...They are great !!

Ct.Wedding Florists: Water's Edge "Beautiful Wedding Flowers" for Vanessa and Rich

What a wonderful Evening at Water's Edge Resort and Spa.  Rich and Vanessa were a perfect team with great vision. Our team installed the facilities columns with white lights and drapes for a affect that brings such a strong, wedding-like, signature to the ballroom. For intimacy we installed drapes from their ceiling around the Sweetheart table. It was a "WOW"......

Inspiration boards have become the rage... over the last 20 years I have built libraries of photos to inspire brides imagination.....Wouldn't that be considered an "INSPIRATION LIBRARY?"

Ct. Wedding Florists: Melissa's wonderful blue and white wedding bouquet.

Melissa's Wedding was so wonderful....I loved this color combination. Melissa wrote a thank you and gave me the link to her photos.....Enjoy~!!

Hi Debra,

I hope things are well.

I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful work you did at Jim and my wedding on September 25th at St. Clements.
Everything was perfect.
I got so many complements on the centerpieces, and especially the bridal and bridesmaids bouquets. I wanted to share my photographer's blog with you, so you could see some pictures of the flowers.
When I get the pictures back (probably in another few weeks), I'll be sure to send you some shots of the bouquets, etc.

Hope to work with you again sometime in the future.

Best Regards,

Melissa

Ct. Wedding Florist: Jamie's wonderful wedding flowers....

We have Jamie as she picks up her bouquet (no, she is not wearing red as a gown) she turns to let me photo flowers in her hair, which, by the way, looked perfect.... We used chartreuse green, purple, blue and white.
Jamie's bouquet contrasted perfectly with the bridesmaids.

She chose 2 honor attendants, 6 bridesmaids, 2 Jr. bridesmaids and 2 flower girls (with accents of) all dressed in cobalt blue...
We maintained the density of colors against the dresses,
creating just enough contrast. The Madison Congregational has a soft blue backdrop and new carpet in a royal blue, perfect for the cobalt dresses....How often does that happen!!
I love swagging the railings.
This frames in the bride and groom so perfectly.

I loved working with Jamie and her Mom.... I was honored to be a part of their wedding , I only wish Jamie had 5 sisters....
A perfect day, with a wonderful family.
(((((Hugs))))

Debra,
The flowers were PERFECT!! Everyone commented on them - and thanks for putting the pictures on the web. I posted it on my facebook. It was such a grand night. I don't have the photograpy site - yet but as soon as I do I will send it to you.
My heart is so full!!!

Ct. Wedding Florists: "Blue Iris" only in the springtime.

In all my years of exploring combinations of Wedding bouquets...this is only the 2nd time I have used Iris. The accent of yellow in the Brides bouquet was perfect for the yellow and white bouquets the bridesmaids carried.
"Blue bouquets are in."
I am thrilled with the outcome.

Ct.Wedding Florists: Guilford Yacht Club and Barbara's Beautiful Wedding Flowers

My first and only shot of Barbara was taken before she walked down the aisle in St. George's church in Guilford. She was very gracious.......and nervous.....She had all her bridesmaid's gathered around to lighten and support her journey down the aisle.
What better colors to coordinate beautifully with blue dresses, than blue hydrangea and green cymbidium orchids.

The Guilford Yacht Club http://www.gyc.com/ looked great. We chose blue, yellow and white to dress up the space. We had make the square boxes and used a crackle finish to create beachy feel, along with shells, square votives and soft natural garden flowers.

Thanks to Jordan Caterers http://www.jordancaterers.com/ and most of all to Barbara and her wonderul family. It was wonderful day.

Ct.Wedding Flowers: French Blue meets Hawaiian at Water's Edge

Gretchen's inspiration came from an envelope she showcased in french blue (considering this for her bridal party dress color) and loved the color red. She was very apprehensive as she considered her color scheme. I loved it!!!

Her wonderful groom, and his family's Hawaiian heritage helped to create their perfect signature throughout the day. They shipped in from Hawaii traditional wedding flowers, maile lei's for the men, and traditional white dendrobium lei's, so intricately made, even I was in awe.

What a perfect evening on the lawn of Water's Edge. http://www.watersedge-resort.com/
Hawaiian maile lei's were hung to help create a feeling of Hawiian heritage.

Inside the Royal ballroom we brought the tropical feel in using monastera leaves in all their glory. We spiraled red tulips underwater in tall modern glass cylinders. The Royal ballroom looked fabulous.

As you can see the combinations of french blue and red were just perfect. Family heritage and traditions deepen and add layers in creating the perfect wedding. My job is to unify visually within these boundaries.
I was thrilled, as was the Bride and Groom.
Thank you, Gretchen for your wonderful vision.

Ct.Wedding Florist:"The Colors were Perfect"

As you can see I am thrilled to have these fabulous photos taken by Steven Charles
http://www.stevencharles.com/. These photos showcase the amazing color combinations we used to express Pam's unique and personal style. Saybrook Point Inn, http://www.saybrook.com/ became the perfect venue. Just look at this backdrop, need I say more.

We chose very different colors and flowers. We often see traditional colors on blue gowns. It was great fun to explore new ideas.

Pam and her mom were a joy to work with, they trusted my expertise, my vision and together we really created a spectacular visual that Pam will forever have.

Hi, Debra
Thanks again for the wonderful job you did on our wedding flowers. They were absolutely amazing, and wow do they look great in the photographs! All the colors were perfect. We loved working with you and would recommend you to anyone!

Thank you again :) -Pam

Pam, I wish you and your groom such great happiness as you move into your future together.
I am so thrilled to be a part of your wedding day.

Ct.Wedding Florist: Blue Wedding Flowers, Classic for the Shoreline

Shoreline conservationists at heart, Debbie's inspiration came from the Connecticut wetlands and beaches. Living only minutes from Guilford Yacht Club http://gyc.com/

it translated perfectly into the perfect wedding site.

The sheer beauty of a classic gown with a classic bouquet of white freesia, calla lillies, and white roses with a white hydrangea base offered her simplicity at it's finest.

Simple classic blue dresses visually set the tone. With blue hydrangea and white freesia being her favorite flowers, we added in hybrid blue delphinium clusters......

Hand painted table squares added another layer of interest to the blue hydrangea centerpieces.

And just in:

As the mother of the bride,

I want to say how wonderful it was working with Debra. The entire process was easy and totally enjoyable. Debra listened so carefully, had so many good ideas that enhanced the vision that our daughter had for her wedding, had many photographs and examples to show us, never made us feel rushed or as if we couldn't make changes, never insisted on her own ideas but helped our daughter to realize her own.

Debra has a wealth of experience over many years, was completely reassuring that everything would be done exactly as we wanted and as it should be. And indeed it was!!! The bouquets were just beautiful, the table decorations perfect, the archway was gorgeous, and all the rest. Everything was classically simple and beautiful.

All the flowers lasted beautifully throughout a warm afternoon and the evening, and on into the next days as well. Everything to be worn was delivered and preserved perfectly, and labeled clearly. The set-up at the yacht club was perfect. And her prices were very reasonable. Debra was a pleasure to work with and the flowers were gorgeous. There was not a single thing we could have wished to have been done differently.

We're so appreciative of all she did, in her own so very warm and easy and reassuringly peaceful way, and we couldn't recommend her more highly.

Ellen (mother of the bride)

Congratulations to Debbie's vision and to all who made her vision perfect.
