Ct.Wedding Florist: Harkess Park wedding by Bakes and Baldwin Floral co.

Nothing captures the thrill and delight of romance the way these amazing flowers do. Katie was such a traditionalist, requesting a bridal cascade.
Hand-tied bouquets that evoke country garden with a classic sensibility...
Classic beauty.......
We brighten the florals  using all shades of pinks......including hot pink, to create contrast in this old world pergola.......

Beauty created from this backdrop and adorned with "beautiful wedding flowers' supports the joys of life. I wish Katie and and her handsome groom all the best.

The Riverhouse at Goodspeed Station: Bakes and Baldwin showcasing Amanda's beautiful wedding flowers

Amanda before stepping into her gown loving on her gorgeous wedding bouquet.....

I love natural garden along with textures that enhance such beautiful gowns....I thought this had the right amount of pop~~~

All the bridesmaids gathered around to adore the bouquets saying " That's Amanda"...

St. Sebastians in Middletown is an amazing site and a glorious place to say vows. It is always a pleasure to just create a wedding like texture to something already so beautiful..

Greeting guest with a lush bouquet is always nice. The container used is a Bakes and Baldwin rental.
Amanda loved the glitz created.

Tall upright arrangements are wonderful since we have grand upper space to fit into.
Such a beautiful day ......Thanks to The Riverhouse.....such a pleasure!! Amazing job as always.

The Riverhouse Wedding:Bakes and Baldwin showcasing Leah's wedding flowers.

Leah booked me a year ago at The Riverhouse Wedding show. Her overall ideas were very unique....I was thrilled to meet her needs so well.  Knowing that white anemone would be a long shot for this season we chose a plan B for this flower.....Then we could not get plan B..and out of the blue, my wholesaler called and opened a box and found anemone......I surprised Leah!! She was beside "JOY"

Grouped the flowers for a striking pop~
Leah before she stepped into her gown......Yes, I am always early.

Riverhouse has a grand scale beauty......Our drapes are lush enough to create the magic every bride should have.

Say Hi to Vicky, Leah's mother who graciously offered to have a shot with these grand ceremonial flowers.........Thank you, Vicky (before she stepped into her gown)

Centerpieces were very showy, using lanterns with drops of greens and very natural garden flowers. Looked just perfect for Leah's vision.......What a JOY I had creating Leah's "Beautiful Wedding Flowers"   Thanks  to The Riverhouse as always, so all embracing !!

Pine Orchard Country Club, Branford, Ct.

Diane's vision was very natural garden, which is on the comeback.
I love textures.....layer upon layer creates magic.....The last flower I
included was red arachnid orchids.......Just a kick of red!!

I always arrive before my brides are dressed in their glorious gowns....Diane was so happy to
just stand with her bouquet so I could take a shot....
This garland was made perfectly to frame in the ceremony. Ken and Diane purchased this piece of furniture just for their ceremony. And I embellished with our rented mercury glass  and the gorgeous florals.

To greet the guests, we hung a floral swag ....yes it was larger than this woman, who just had to see the decor.......She was very gracious to let me take a shot!!

For all of you who have not seen the Chapel......so cute!!!

Everyone walked down to Pine Orchard Country Club to party. Natural garden for the tables too!!
Congratulations to Diane and Ken......What a gorgeous wedding!!!

Saybrook Point Inn, wedding

We have had so many weekends with morning rains or afternoon thunder showers...and we were so lucky to have Emily's and Christoper's Huppah  up and ready for their sacred ceremony at
 Saybrook Point Inn and Spa.
After the rain, the skys opened and shined down on Emily's and Christopher's Huppah... and when the ceremony was done and everyone went inside it just started to rain. "Perfect"
Emily was a natural garden girl........loving lots of garden textures. Looked lovely......

We did 1/2 of our centerpieces in tall glass uprights and 1/2 low on the table as you can see in this beautiful centerpiece...Looks great at Saybrook Pt. Inn
Along with a rental (our collection of mercury glass) Emily was thrilled with this placecard table arrangement greeting her guests.

And lastly we did a cake top ........so pretty!!  Congratulations to Emily and Christopher!!! They are a beautiful couple.....with deep gratitude that we were a part of their most important day of their lives..

The Riverhouse at Goodspeed Station, Haddam, Ct. wedding

It was a beautiful day in March.......who would have known..a warm spring day perfect for Rebecca and Patrick's wedding.  Textures were soft and hand picked from a garden........So pretty.
The Ivoryton Congregational .....in all the years we have serviced weddings statewide I have never
serviced this "most charming' church........I felt like I was in rural Vermont (I grew up there)......and surprisingly would just walk out
to a covered bridge and the clear moving brook for photos...
"The Riverhouse" is a perfect backdrop for a garden like wedding........Nantucket baskets enhanced Rebecca's centerpieces too....  We wish you both  years of "JOY".....Congratulations!!!

Ct.Wedding Florist: Beautiful Wedding Flowers at Harkness

Bethany and Elijah were wed at the Eolia Mansion at Harkness Park in Waterford, Ct.
Bethany loved the gardens and had offered tours to tourists at the Mansion in the past.
Creating a natural garden wedding was such fun....Color scheme was a soft blue and lavender.
How can you go wrong.  We stayed traditional with her bouquet and added accents of blue and lavender. Her bridesmaid wore lavender, a great backdrop for her brighter color combinations.

Using the "Pergola" is just amazing for a wedding. We love to use the columns at the entry
and have the bride and groom stand in front of them. The backdrop for photos showcases all
the lattice work.....Mrs. Harkness would be proud.....

The foyer entry looked so beautiful with the traditional silver urn and lavender, blue and cream.
My photos do not do this arrangement justice.......It had a "WoW" factor........
Centerpieces were natural garden in silver revere bowls and complemented the table decor.

Check out:Gina, (senior event coordinator) for A thyme to Cook  She has catered to so many Brides and Broom's and guests at this venue.  I would like to thank her and her wonderful staff for the extra care and willingness to jump in. Team work is so very important and we as seasoned vendors know what it takes!!!  (yes, I know we have a little blur....but otherwise a nice shot of Gina)
So I send best wishes to Bethany and Elijah. It was a perfect setting for them and a
wonderful way to showcase their commitment to each other. Yay!!!

Ct.Wedding florist: Sara's Wedding Flowers at Madison Beach Club

Sara had a very unique vision. She loves natural........branches, mosses, bark. I love challenges...
Everyone always asks, how did you come to this combination of flowers?  My artistic eye, and libraries of photos in my office helped pinpoint perfectly every flower Sara loved.
The large green flower surprised everyone........Can you believe that is a sunflower without
it's petals.........Look at the textures we created with that flower.........I loved it!!!
Madison Beach Club lawn is so intimate......I surprised Sara by taking our pedestals
and covering them with birch branching and mosses.  The glass cylinders gave our design
a modern feel but the 3 arrangements were very natural garden. And our chair makers
fit perfectly.
Centerpieces were even more fun...........we did a very natural garden bouquet for each table.

Sara's Mom was a joy and I was thrilled to be a part of Sara's vision. I send her off with
such "appreciation" that I could experience parts of their life.  Jordan Catering   it is always
a "pleasure"......a GREAT TEAM  makes for a great wedding... And "thanks" to Marissa,(from Jordan Catering)  she co-ordinated every detail perfectly.
