Harkness Park, Westbrook, Ct. Wedding

Hi Debra,
I wanted to write you a special thank you note since we were very pressed for time with photos and hardly got to talk on Saturday afternoon.
The flowers this past Saturday were just gorgeous!!!
They were exactly what we had ...
in mind and I LOVED them all!
My bouquet in particular was just perfect!!!
I really appreciate all your hard work and wanted you to know that it went recognized by us and many guests.
We were so impressed!
 Thank you for everything!

Ct.Wedding Florist: Rebecca "Thank you"

Hi Debra!
Wow, your arrangements for our wedding were gorgeous! We had so many wonderful comments about the flowers inside the mansion but I think everyone was just blown away by the decor for the ceremony. Those lilies and grasses in the urns-- amazing and so fragrant. I cannot say enough good things about all the hard work you put into our evening. Thank you for exceeding all expectations in bringing our vision to life (and for being so organized and collected that you eased all my mum's last minute worries). I wish I could have those flowers around me every day, they were so stunning, and fit Harkness to a t. Can't wait to share some photos with you!
Thanks for everything!
All the best,

Rebecca Stewart

Harkness Park, Waterford, Ct. Wedding

How about this wedding bouquet......perfect for Rebecca..She had favorite flowers, and yes, we embellished so perfectly...stephanotis, blue delphinium, blue hydrangea, roses and her most favorite white alstroemaria....(she promised me some photos, stay tuned)

Harkness Park in Waterford, Ct. has a few amazing surprises. For a rustic ceremony setting, Rebecca
chose the amphitheater tucked into the trees out of site to the folks strolling the grounds.
Our wrought iron urns fit so nicely.

Jessica and Greg are getting married next summer right here!!! The agreed to have their photo taken, knowing I would put it up on my blog.......HI!!! Guys~~ Future Bride and Groom!!!

This shot is to just show the sky meets the ocean water......The benches were covered by Bakes and Baldwin and the pew markers drew us right down the aisle.....
"Congratulations" to Rebecca and Jon!!!

Ct.Wedding Florist: Beautiful Wedding Flowers at Harkness

Bethany and Elijah were wed at the Eolia Mansion at Harkness Park in Waterford, Ct.
Bethany loved the gardens and had offered tours to tourists at the Mansion in the past.
Creating a natural garden wedding was such fun....Color scheme was a soft blue and lavender.
How can you go wrong.  We stayed traditional with her bouquet and added accents of blue and lavender. Her bridesmaid wore lavender, a great backdrop for her brighter color combinations.

Using the "Pergola" is just amazing for a wedding. We love to use the columns at the entry
and have the bride and groom stand in front of them. The backdrop for photos showcases all
the lattice work.....Mrs. Harkness would be proud.....

The foyer entry looked so beautiful with the traditional silver urn and lavender, blue and cream.
My photos do not do this arrangement justice.......It had a "WoW" factor........
Centerpieces were natural garden in silver revere bowls and complemented the table decor.

Check out:Gina, (senior event coordinator) for A thyme to Cook  She has catered to so many Brides and Broom's and guests at this venue.  I would like to thank her and her wonderful staff for the extra care and willingness to jump in. Team work is so very important and we as seasoned vendors know what it takes!!!  (yes, I know we have a little blur....but otherwise a nice shot of Gina)
So I send best wishes to Bethany and Elijah. It was a perfect setting for them and a
wonderful way to showcase their commitment to each other. Yay!!!

Ct.Wedding Florist: Kristin's Flowers at Harkness

Love, Love this wedding design........it has been a while since we designed a "Classic."  Eolia Mansion at Harkness Park in Waterford, Ct. is a perfect backdrop. I am sure the Mrs. Harkness would have been
proud if she stood on the staircase and had to respond to Kristen's beautiful dress, her flowers and how the mansion came alive........It was so beautiful........
Blush, cream and white.......how often do I get to use these three colors.....We are always visually inspired by the modern trends, bright colors, clean lines,  these days and yet......."WOW"  This will never be forgotten........
It was a pleasure working with A Thyme to Cook.  Gina and her staff worked endlessly to help create a wonderful flow.......The Eolia is one of the most beautiful "Gems" our state has, and weddings are always just amazing........Thanks to Kristin and Ken, for a wonderful wedding........

Ct.Wedding Florist: Eolia Mansion Pergola dressed in "Crystals" and a "Kiss"

I imagined myself in the 1930's creating a wedding for The Harkness Family on the grounds of Harknes Park in Waterford Ct.
This Pergola is made for a wedding.
The architecture lends itself to perfection.....

Most face out to the gardens......and I wanted to create magic looking into this intimate space.
I'll bet this was created just for the ultimate "Ceremony."

And to think 70 years later we could step within this most amazing space......

The magic began with crystal drops in all the openings inside the pergola.
One hour before the ceremony, the sun decided to shine and the space glittered .

"You really had to be there."

Even I was in "AWE" and after 22 years in the Wedding business it does not happen often. The pomiander balls also fit into the "1930's glam with a modern twist"
We hung beautiful clusters of Victorian crystals to maximise the eye candy.

What can I say to all the wonderful people who embraced this wonderful day.

Cheryl at www.croninphotographyblog.com showcased this wedding under Jeremy and Diana. Please take the time to check this out. It is worth it....
I also need to thank Laurie at www.photogenicimagesct.com . She was a 2nd shooter and shot all the florals......just for me.

The day was amazing, as the Mother of the Groom,
I know that Jeremy and Diana will forever more remember their day with a heartfelt amazement.
